NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING

Our food intake impacts many aspects of our life. Food is an essential part of human life but also has a social impact.

A nutrition counseling includes an in-depth look at how one eats and their lifestyle. Rather than attempting to change individual dietary habits overnight, a registered dietitian will look at small changes that can be implemented over an extended period of time.

At a initial nutrition counseling, one can expect that a nutrition professional will take objective measurements, including height and weight. In addition, a diet recall and food frequency is completed by the client. The dietitian provides general education, which may include instruction on nutrients, portion sizes, food labels, shopping and dining out. Our dietitian will incorporate holistic practices and mindful techniques that can aid in eating appropriate amounts of food and enhance your energy and the earth.

Individual goals are set based on the client’s intentions. Follow-up is recommended to determine progress and new goals.

Up Dog Yoga & Wellness is experienced with common dietary lifestyles such as vegetarian diets, sports nutrition, low sodium, low cholesterol/fat diets, diabetic diets and renal diets.
